As we approach the end of another remarkable year, we at Spoken Outdoors want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to our mission. Your generous giving has enabled us to continue our work in promoting outdoor events that educate, challenge limits, and create confidence.
This year, we have achieved significant milestones, including hosting several impactful events:
- Deschutes River Trip: In June, we hosted a transformative four-day fly fishing trip along the Deschutes River in Oregon. This trip provided a space for healing, connection, and hope for first responders and veterans. Participants shared stories, built relationships, and found solace in the river’s gentle flow. One participant, Frank, expressed, “This trip gives me hope.”
- Kootenai First Responder Float Trip: On August 25th, we hosted eight first responders from North Idaho and Spokane, WA, for a full day of fly fishing on the beautiful Kootenai River. This event was not only a day of relaxation and enjoyment but also a successful fundraiser, raising $6,250. Participants enjoyed a fully catered riverside lunch and caught over 200 fish throughout the day.
- Camp Bullwheel Event: In May, we partnered with Camp Bullwheel and Ability Montana to host two retired police officers, a paraplegic Marine, a Navy Veteran, an Army Veteran, and his spouse. A former Pastor also joined the event. Our team, including board member Becky Fish and her son Travis, provided meals for 15 people over three days. Volunteers managed the videographer, Mitch, who is also an Army veteran. Mitch captured footage to help tell our story and expressed how great it was to be part of the Spoken Outdoors Team.
- Food Drive: In collaboration with the CDA Fire Union 710 and Anchored Coffee Company, we hosted a food drive on December 12th to address hunger and support local families in the community. This initiative brought together local businesses and community members to make a significant impact.
These events have allowed us to connect with our community, share our mission, and make a tangible difference in the lives of first responders and veterans.
These accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of donors like you.
As we look forward to the coming year, we are excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. To continue our vital work, we are reaching out to you with a special year-end giving request. Your contribution will help us:
- Expand our events to reach more first responders and veterans in our communities.
- Enhance our resources to better support America’s Protectors.
- Develop new initiatives that foster a deeper connection between people and the outdoors.
In addition to making a lasting impact on our programs, your year-end gift can also provide you with valuable tax benefits. Donations made by December 31 are eligible for a tax deduction on your 2024 tax return. It’s a win-win situation: you support a cause you care about and receive a tax benefit in return.
To make your donation, please visit our website. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Thank you once again for your continued support. Together, we can inspire a love for the outdoors and ensure a brighter future for America’s Protectors.
Warm regards,
